Her layers of coloured waxes merge together to create a soft, warm, and neutral decorative paint finish. The subtle texture allows the coloured waxes to sit softly over the piece, working in harmony to create a warm glow full of beautiful movement. We applied a slightly darker coloured wax around the bevels on the drawers and doors, this subtle detail creates shading and definition making her bevels shine bright with the lovely champagne lustre. Adding these metallic finishing touches to highlight the bevels and claw feet create further depth while lifting and finishing off the piece.

What we did:

Painted in The Artisan Companys Calicut Premium Chalk Paint, coloured waxed using Dark wax and a Calicut coloured wax. To shade around the drawers and doors we used a Bruised Petal coloured wax. Vienna Champagne Metallic Glide was used to highlight the bevels and Champagne Gold Creme was used to highlight the claw feet.
