FRENCH WASH STAND

We wanted to give this gorgeous piece a rustic, old worldly finish, respecting its history.  The Artisan Company’s Paints allowed us to transform her, by layering over Premium Chalk Paint with Dark and Coloured Wax and a Metallic Glaze.

She is now a unique, bespoke piece, that is full of character, charm, warmth and depth.

What we Did:

Painted in Brickyard Premium Chalk Paint, Dark and Carbon Black Coloured Wax and gently scuffed with 240 grit sandpaper.  Then the entire piece has had an Artemis Bronze Glaze applied and again, gently scuffed with 240 grit sandpaper.  Carbon Black Coloured Wax has been used again to frame and detail.  Full strength Artemis Bronze has been used on the handles and Bronzanite Glide has been used on the edgings to highlight.  The tiles have been aged to tie in with the piece by using a strong mix of Carbon Black Coloured Wax.
