‘Layla’ has been given a textured, rustic, Metallic finish, creating plenty of depth and movement across the entire piece.  The Artisan Company’s Paints are multi pigmented and respond beautifully to ever changing light.  Given that multiple colours and waxes were used on this piece, each and every colour that was used can be seen, throughout the day, as the light changes.  The use of Artisan Metallic Alchemy Creme and Glides lift and enhance this piece beautifully.  ‘Layla’ is a piece that is very Bespoke and unique, and she will be a stunning statement piece no matter where you decide to place her.

What we Did:

The externals were painted by blending the following Artisan Company's Premium Chalk Paints, Potters Clay, Izabellars Room, Bruised Petal, Stormy Creek and Grassmere.  A heavy coat of Dark Wax, the following Premium Chalk Paint Washes, Duck Egg, Bach Blue and Obsidian Blue and Bach Blue mixed together.  Clear Wax and Soft Gold Metallic Creme applied over the entire piece detailing, heavier in certain areas.  Finished by highlighting with Forgotten Gold Glide on edging and bevels.  The internals were painted in Cavalli, the Spring/Summer 2022 Limited Edition, Velvet Luxe.
