Wow, I am so pleased with the decision to use The Artisan Company’s Starling Matte Estate on the walls.  It is a luxurious, deep and moody colour, that has certainly delivered on the finish I envisioned, dramatically transforming this space.  The white shutters and lamp shades pop against this strong colour.

The Ornate Mirror has been finished using The Artisan Company’s Velvet Luxe and Metallic Alchemy Range.  This Mirror has impact, and makes a statement within the space, sitting beautifully against the darkness of the walls.  The door handles have also been given this finish.

The bedroom furniture was painted using Imperial Linen Premium Chalk Paint, Dark Wax, Old Chiffon Premium Chalk Paint Wash, Clear Wax with Metallic Glide on the carved details and bevels.  The bed is a focal point, and it is here, that I introduced new bed linen, incorporating texture and pops of mustard, creating a luxurious and sumptuous style. 

Bedrooms are spaces you can introduce different colours into, as they are generally off hallways and not connected to other areas, so flowing on from one room to another, is not something you really have to over think, so why not get creative and have some fun with colour in these areas.

The weather was deteriorating the week I decided to paint this room out, so I had to paint with the windows closed, however, no problem there, as The Artisan Company’s Paint Range is low in VOC, so little to now odor.  Rooms painted out in a day and moved back into the same evening.

Over the years, I have used a multitude of different wall paints, and even though I stock The Artisan Company’s Paint Range, I can truthfully tell you, with hand on heart, that this is by far, the most superior Wall Paint I have ever used, multi pigmented, with a fast dry time and delivering on a flat finish, hiding imperfections.
