DINING ROOM

The colour used on the wall has given this space a sophisticated feel and picks up on the colours in the upholstery beautifully.  A statement Chandelier creates a focal point over the Table and the rug anchors the room.  Sheers have been hung from the ceiling to the floor, where they pillow elegantly and this has elongated the window, making the room appear larger than it already is.  The Hutch Dresser and the drinks trolley have been completed using our Metallic Alchemy Range, reacting to the different lighting throughout the day, and dressing the newly painted Dinig Table, with fauna, flowers and candles, adds to the finishing touches, creating intimacy and moodiness, for the ultimate dining experience.

This is a space that I envisioned, having an overall softness to it, a space that is elegant and luxurious.  Dining Rooms are where the best conversations happen, over a meal, where family and friends gather to enjoy the company of each other, so when you are considering re-decorating your Dining Room, make it warm and inviting, a space that your guests will be more than happy to linger on, long after desert.

What we Did:

For the walls I chose The Artisan Company’s Dor Greige, a beautiful grey-beige, with complex, contemporary, warm undertones, with no yellow, giving it sophisticated, depth and interest.

The Dining Table and Chairs have been completed with Old Chiffon Chalk Paint and Potters Clay Wax, with a wash of Old Chiffon, creating a softly aged French finish.

The Hutch Dresser was completed with Dor Greige Premium Chalk Paint, Oyster Cove Metallic and Bronzanite Glide on the handles and edgings.

For the Drinks Trolley I used Dor Greige Premium Chalk Paint, Oyster Cove Metallic and Dark Wax to age.

Crisp White Velvet Luxe has been applied to the Window Frames, Skirtings, Doors and Door Frames and the handles on the doors has been finished using Indie Gold Metallic.
